Purpose

Verge Pipe Media imagines for others and ourselves a world where individuals, groups and brands are connected and share experiences in fun ways on social media platforms, mobile devices and real-world events. VPM will lead the development and growth of apps which combine lifestyle, entertainment, gamification and the “real world.”

Vision

The vision is simple: become the most respected creative + tech team in the world. We will achieve this by always demonstrating: integrity, imagination, leadership, Work That Matters, and fun – for our clients and ourselves.

Why Us?

We’d like to think of ourselves as stewards of digital innovation, educators and magic-makers (hey, a little bit of fantasy never hurt). The Verge Pipe Media team embraces a diverse workplace, selecting team players with a wide array of backgrounds and experiences. As a bonus, we’re mobile and world-traveled but our Southeastern HQ allows us to keep overhead low, a convenience we like to pass onto our clients.

Don Crow
CEO & Founder

Don is an entrepreneur, husband, father, brother, son and several other names we can’t mention here. Don honed his leadership and decision-making skills as a decorated U.S. Army officer. He cut his teeth in the corporate world at AOL, serving as a Marketing and Operations Director, and then went on to deal as a major gifts officer for a prominent Southeastern university. Verge Pipe Media represents the third venture Don has been a key player in founding.

Micah Whitehead
Social Architect & Creative Director

Micah Whitehead is Verge Pipe Media’s poster boy and pitch man; his good looks and suave disposition make the office environment a blissful experience for all. In fact, we keep him around just to smile at the lucky individuals who happen to pass by our window. After spending some time in Silicon Valley with a digital media non-profit, he fell in love with the startup culture, which means that our hearts beat to the same rhythm - forward-thinking & free-wheeling.

Katie Crow
Legal Affairs

Katie is Verge Pipe Media’s Legal Eagle Crow, primarily responsible for keeping Don out of trouble, negotiating killer deals with clients and deciphering the legalese so VPM can focus on our clients, purpose and having fun! Katie enjoys the creative and innovative technology that VPM brings to the local community and the global workforce VPM engages.

Gray Gill
Editor Emeritus

Gray will answer to Greg, Gary or whatever name with a similar combination of letters Starbucks chooses to write on his cup of cappuccino. He has ordered quite a few of these during his four years at Auburn University. This May, he will wrap up the four best years of his life with a BA in English Literature. Obviously Gray is incredibly handsome, but he has realized he cannot fully rely on his looks to get him everywhere in life. Thus, he is attempting to hone his professional writing and communicating skills. The first step he’s taken in accomplishing this is getting out of bed.

Audra Graham
Community Management Imagineer

Audra was born in Rockville, Md. and was raised in Birmingham, Ala. creating a blend of a city girl with country roots. Although she spent three years of undergrad as a science major, she will graduate from Auburn with her bachelor’s in public relations this August. Audra serves as our community manager, but tends to act like she’s in charge. Don’t let her blonde hair and doe eyes fool you, this girl can pack a punch. Her spirit animal is the wolverine, infamous for a reputation of ferocity and strength out of proportion to its size. We appreciate her spirit, but are careful not to talk to her when her blood sugar is a little low.

Piper Donnelly
Editorial Imagineer

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Piper ventured down to Auburn for a change of scenery. Although lacking a Southern accent and a love for sweet tea, her charming ways allow her to fit right in with the Southern belles -- or so she’d like to think. As a senior communication major, her true loves are writing and horses, which she balances as a student and as a member of the equestrian team. Maybe one day she can combine the two and write about horses? Until then, you can find her drinking a lot of coffee, laughing possibly too often, and loving life in Auburn.

Miller Tracy
Business Development Imagineer

Miller, or John Miller Tracy, prides himself in having all first names. He has been called Tracy many times, which doesn’t offend him considering he has been told he would make a beautiful woman. As an Economics major and psychology minor, his career interests lie in entrepreneurship and social innovation. When he’s not dreaming of becoming a musician, he spends his time thinking of entrepreneurial ideas and leading the Student Inventors and Entrepreneurs club at Auburn University. Miller plans to use his experience at Verge Pipe to start his own company one day that uses software development to revolutionize our social world.
