Why Us?

We’d like to think of ourselves as stewards of digital innovation, educators and magic-makers (hey, a little bit of fantasy never hurt). The Verge Pipe Media team embraces a diverse workplace, selecting team players with a wide array of backgrounds and experiences. As a bonus, we’re mobile and world-traveled but our Southeastern HQ allows us to keep overhead low, a convenience we like to pass onto our clients.

Don Crow
CEO & Founder

Don is an entrepreneur, husband, father, brother, son and several other names we can’t mention here. Don honed his leadership and decision-making skills as a decorated U.S. Army officer. He cut his teeth in the corporate world at AOL, serving as a Marketing and Operations Director, and then went on to deal as a major gifts officer for Auburn University with a focus on Corporate Relations. Verge Pipe Media represents the third venture Don has been a key player in founding.

Chris Eckhardt
Head of Client Strategy

Chris is a nerd. He’s obsessed with photography, learning, the big picture, ambitious projects, digital asset building, and making things happen. Chris earned his degree in Entrepreneurship from Auburn University in 2012. He loves brewing coffee, cooking, mountain biking, and Chewacla State Park.

Gray Gill
Lead Copywriter

Gray has a degree from Auburn University in English, but believe it or not, HE DOESN’T WANT TO TEACH, OK MOM. He’s much happier at Verge Pipe Media, creating entertaining and original work. When he’s not doing that, he enjoys being on his road bike or on the lake, wakeboarding. His spirit animal is a gummy bear.

Carly Ilvento
Content Production Specialist

Carly is a sophomore from the Jersey Shore (no NOT like the TV show) majoring in Journalism with a minor in Spanish. She enjoys filming stories for the student-run TV station and making cookies and cakes with weird things like quinoa flour. With hopes of producing shows for Animal Planet with the lions, tigers, and bears, Carly is the intern before the intern at VPM. She’s in it for the experience, the people, and her passion for all things journalism.

Kirby Miles
Event Tactical Cadet-in-Training

Kirby manages the community and clients for VPM's Social Command Center branch, Event Tactical. Kirby is a senior at Auburn University studying Communication with a minor in Business. Although she is from the most fabulous place on earth, Winter Park, FL, she hopes to move to Nashville upon graduation in December. After Commander Don “The Crow” anointed her a Grizzly Bear for a spirit animal, she decided it was not good enough. An online quiz has proven “The Crow” to be wrong and Kirby is more of a Wolf. She does not really like that either. When Kirby is not drinking iced coffee after a good morning workout, she can be found with her friends, running errands, or becoming the newest food critic.

Addi Rogers
VPM Community Manager

Addi is an Auburn University grad with a degree in kick-ass and Public Relations. She loves Instagram, good coffee and writing lists. Addi plans to move to New York City after whipping the men of VPM into shape to pursue a job in the fashion or entertainment field of PR. Or, she'll just win the lottery, move to a tropical island, build a Chick-fil-a and play with her cat, Breck

Kris Sims
Content Production Specialist

Kris is an artist warrior and his weapon of choice is a camera. Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, he now attends Auburn University as a Radio, Television, and Film major. He just wants to do what he loves so that means make as many videos at a high quality as possible. Also, he loves mother nature.

Katie Crow
Board of Advisors

Katie is Verge Pipe Media’s Legal Eagle Crow, primarily responsible for keeping Don out of trouble, and being a coach, mentor and sounding board for the VPM Team. Katie is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and migrated south for the weather and football. She is an Auburn Alum who majored in Public Relations, conquered the sales world and then added a Juris Doctor (J.D.) to her list of accomplishments. Katie enjoys the creative marketing solutions and innovative technology that VPM brings to the local community and clients around the US.

Gwen Reid
Board of Advisors

Gwen Reid joins the Verge Pipe Media team as a strategic advisor and trusted board member. She is a dual degree graduate of Auburn University. She recently retired as Assistant VP for Central Development at Auburn University. For two years prior to her retirement, Gwen helped plan the current fundraising campaign with a goal of $1 billion. She was the campaign director for the, "It begins at Auburn" campaign with a goal of $500 million. This campaign ended in March 2008, with more than $608 million raised. In her 25-year career at Auburn, she served as Director of Development for the Harrison School of Pharmacy, College of Architecture, Design and Construction and Assistant Director of Development for Auburn Athletics.

Tom Donegan
Board of Advisors

Tom Donegan was previously Vice President of Marketing at AOL where he ran direct response marketing programs including direct mail and telemarketing. Before AOL he worked in an advertising agency focused on Direct Response TV and Direct Mail and later on the client side with the AFL-CIO's insurance subsidiary Union Labor Life Insurance Company's affinity marketing program. Tom co-founded Gay Men and Lesbians Opposing Violence (GLOV) Washington ‘s anti violence group. Through 2008 Tom was board President of Crisislink a social services agency that took suicide prevention calls, provided crisis counseling at schools and workplaces and developed support programs for survivors of suicide. In Provincetown, Tom served as chairman the Finance Committee and was elected to the Board Of Selectmen in May 2013. He is clerk of the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. He is a year round resident of Provincetown with his husband, Mark Weinress.
